Dr. Small received his medical degree from New York Medical College and completed his Orthopedic Surgery residency at Hospital for Joint Diseases Orthopedic Institute. He completed his Fellowship in Adult and Pediatric Hip Surgery at the prestigious Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. His accomplished academic record includes service as an Instructor in Orthopedic Surgery at both The Mount Sinai School of Medicine and New York Medical College and as a Senior Clinical Associate in Surgery at Cornell University Medical College. He is Chief Emeritus of Orthopedics at White Plains Hospital and an Emeritus member of the Orthopedics staff at New York Medical College. He also serves as the Director of the Westchester Orthopedics Institute of White Plains Hospital and was Head of Joint Replacement Service at the former Bone and Joint Associates, LLC. He is the author of numerous scholarly articles in orthopedic journals and has presented his work at several professional conferences. He is a member of the Medical Board of White Plains Hospital.
