White Plains Hospital is pleased to offer the services of our board-certified thoracic surgeons to patients in our community. Our team of experts has specialized training in the surgical and non-surgical treatment of esophageal, lung and thymic cancers and other conditions impacting the organs and structures within the chest and chest wall. They work closely with our pulmonary and cardiology physicians, nurses, respiratory and physical therapists as well as medical and radiation oncologists to create the most appropriate treatment plan for each patient.
Services at this location include, but are not limited to:
- Diaphragmatic pacemakers in the treatment of spinal cord injury or muscular dystrophy
- Esophagectomy (removal part or all of the esophagus)
- Mediastinal tumor resection
- Pulmonary lobectomy (removal of lung lobe)
- Surgery of the trachea
- Thoracic Surgery
- Thymectomy (thymus gland removal)
