About
Dr. Philip Weber is Director of the Division of Minimally Invasive Surgery, Robotics and Bariatrics at White Plains Hospital, specializing in minimally invasive surgery and has extensive specialized training in laparoscopic surgical techniques. Dr. Weber received his medical degree from Brown University School of Medicine and completed his General Surgery internship at Mount Sinai Medical Center with a residency at The Medical College of Pennsylvania.
He is one of a select group of surgeons in Westchester County with formal fellowship training in laparoscopic and robotic surgery, and received his Fellowship training in advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery at Hackensack University Medical Center, a premier institution for robotic surgical training. He has written numerous articles about the role of laparoscopic surgery in the management of gallbladder and colonic disease, and his work has been recognized and presented at the annual meeting of several well respected surgical societies, including the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons and peer reviewed journals.
Dr. Weber pioneered the use of laparoscopic techniques in the management of gastrointestinal and solid organ disorders at White Plains Hospital, and he routinely performs these procedures, as well as traditional open surgical procedures, on all abdominal organs including the stomach, intestines, gallbladder, spleen, pancreas, and adrenal glands. – His particular expertise is the surgical management of disorders of the stomach and esophagus, as well as Bariatric Surgery (weight reduction/obesity surgery) using minimally invasive techniques.
