About
Sean J. Cloonan, MD earned a B.A. in literature from Harvard University before attending the School of Medicine at New York University. Dr. Cloonan completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at New York University (NYU) and a sub-specialty fellowship in infectious diseases also at NYU, where he was Fellow of the Year. He is board-certified in internal medicine and infectious diseases.
Previously, Dr. Cloonan was a clinical instructor at New York University and engaged in research at NYU and the Manhattan VA. He has been on staff at several hospitals throughout Westchester and New York City. Dr. Cloonan was the recipient of several awards including the Valentine Mott Medal and Mandelbaum Award while pursuing his medical degree at NYU.
Dr. Cloonan’s clinical interests include treatment of Hepatitis C, HIV prevention and treatment, tick borne infections, diabetic foot infections and travel medicine.
