Dr. Tammy Tavdy practices general endocrinology and has clinical interests in women’s hormonal health. She treats many conditions, including polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), pituitary disorders, hypo/hyperthyroidism, adrenal disorders, menopause, primary hyperparathyroidism, obesity, and type 1 and type 2 diabetes.
Dr. Tavdy received her medical degree from the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center, where she was selected to be Chief Resident. She also remained at the institution to complete her fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism.
Prior to joining Scarsdale Medical Group, Dr. Tavdy was a co-author for the official question bank of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE-Rx) program, which also produces the First Aid book series. As Chief Resident, she was a member of the Montefiore Internal Medicine Residency Recruitment Committee and was a preceptor for the Transition to Clerkship courses for the medical students. Dr. Tavdy has contributed to several peer-reviewed publications, including The American Association of Clinical Endocrinology, The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism, and Journal of the Endocrine Society.
