About

Uloma Ijomah is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with years of experience in cardiology, caring for patients with cardiac rhythm disorders, including the management of clinical devices used as part of treatment (pacemakers, defibrillators, loop recorders).

She earned both her Bachelor of Science and her Master of Science in Nursing from Pace University, and earned a Master of Business Administration from New York Institute of Technology. As the Assistant Director of the Atrial Fibrillation Center, Ms. Ijomah works closely with electrophysiology physicians and staff to provide compassionate, evidence-based, advanced care to patients with issues such as cardiac arrhythmias and implantable cardiac devices.

She oversees all the center's operations, including a multidisciplinary care team, and develops care plans that support the patient and family. Her goal is to ensure evidence-based practice standards that improve patient outcomes and health-related quality of life.

A certified heart failure nurse practitioner, Ms. Ijomah is experienced in providing guideline directed medical therapy to heart failure and heart transplant patients. She is also a certified critical care nurse with over 10 years of experience in the management of the most medically demanding and critically ill post-operative cardiac surgery patients, including heart and lung transplant, ECMO and ventricular assist device therapy. She is a member of The Nurse Practitioner Association New York State.
