Through close collaboration with microbiologists and pathologists, and the use of advanced diagnostic technology, our infectious disease team is able to diagnose and treat viral, bacterial and parasitic infections. Our specialists are board-certified in Infectious Disease and Internal Medicine and evaluate the whole patient when developing a treatment plan.
Patients with an acute or chronic infection that is difficult to diagnose, or one who is failing to respond to treatment, may require the advanced training of an infectious disease specialist. Individuals planning a trip to a location where the risk of infection exists may also want to consult with an infectious disease physician in advance. One of the best ways to prevent infectious diseases is immunization.
