The neurosurgery team evaluates and treats many different types of cancerous brain tumors as well as benign tumors, tumors of the spine, and other neurological conditions, performing a range of procedures, from minimally invasive to complex brain and spine surgeries. Among the services offered are laminectomies—a surgical technique that removes bone spurs and tissues associated with arthritis of the spine—and microdiscectomies, a surgery that is used to relieve pain and other symptoms resulting from a herniated disc in the spine pressing on an adjacent nerve root.
